Pumpkin festival on the Juckerhof farm

Fall is pumpkin season on the Juckerhof farm. Huge figures made out of pumpkins, different pumpkin varieties on display, pumpkin-based cuisine and pumpkins for purchase. This year’s theme is the forest.

The best way to visit the Juckerhof farm in Seegräben, in the Zurich Oberland, is by taking public transport. That way, you can make life easier for local residents and save yourself the hassle of finding a parking space. We recommend taking the S3 to Pfäffikon ZH, followed by a 5-minute walk along Lake Pfäffikon.

On arrival, visitors are truly in for a treat: a stunning picture-book view awaits, along with a playground paradise for the kids. The huge hay bale bouncy castle is perfect for letting off steam, while goats wait in the park for someone to come and pet them. Why not discover the Apple Labyrinth, a maze made with countless apple trees? Or visit the pumpkin show, open daily from August to November 4, 2018.

Tired from looking at all those pumpkins? The farm restaurant, located in the former barn, will serve vermicelles, a type of sweet chestnut noodle, and Halloween jam cookies to regain your strength. And the farm shop is a great place to pick up a souvenir of a great day out, whether it be homemade jam, syrup, bread made at the farm bakery – or a pumpkin, of course!

You can visit the Bächlihof in Jona in addition to the Juckerhof in Seegräben.
